The show about that thing you love
Tom Hardy’s villainous turn in The Dark Knight Rises is hardly his first, or scariest, screen moment. That honor would belong to 2008’s creepily funny Bronson.
Directed by Nicholas Winding Refn (Drive), it’s a psychological portrait of a man considered by many to be the most violent criminal in Britain. Hardy’s performance is incredibly arresting; he often turns on a dime from clownish mannerisms to terrifying glares, from moments of playful charisma to jarring viciousness. You’ll laugh, you’ll cower, you’ll question whether you can ever look at a mustache the same way again.
